It's very stable for new riders and can surf ok with some effort. Compared to the boards now, it's all personal preference. Are you surfing or just paddling? Never surfed before and wanted to get into the sport for fun and also a new workout routine. Local surf shop in Rhode Island recommended the Jimmy Lewis 11' x 30" board. I've been out every day and addicted; love the sport. My only concern is whether or not I got the right board? I am 5'9" and 180-185lbs. Appreciate any feedback.....Thanks.
