The shark is doing what sharks do. Feeding on his natural prey. How many attacks have we heard of on SUP boards? I don't think we look much like something they would confuse as edible. Not to say there is zero possibilty but I don't worry about it.Now if I was on a shortboard with arms and legs dangling....can you say fishing lure? I try to break it because I can't see more than 15 feet around me. This has caused me to get pounded by waves, etc. In a way it's almost better bc I know I would just fall off if I saw a big shark. When we did our downwind run, I'd look around and see these huge turtles. After a while, being so far out and relatively alone, I thought I better not look around because I might not like what I see.
