New Shuttle Service for Hawaii Kai Downwinders by Ocean Playground

Share/Bookmark

Denise Darval-Chang, an avid paddler just started a new shuttle service for the island of Oahu, Hawaii. So far it’s just for Hawaii Kai to Kaimana downwinders. Here’s some info below and an example of her schedule. There’s supposed to be something on facebook but I couldn’t find it. Her contact info is below too. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but plan to do so soon. This is great for the sport so please support her by using this service.

From Denise:

Awesome, I have been waiting for someone to offer this service and the 6am pickup would work for me. Please keep me posted.

I saw denise there on sunday. They have a large passenger van and trailer. The trailer holds oc1’s individually. Nice set up. They could stack stand ups on top of the trailer or on the van.

My friend & I tried this shuttle service yesterday. Denise & her son were very accomodating. The first thing that came to mind is..CONVENIENCE. Her service could not have come at a better time. I highly recommend her service for those who don’t have the luxury to coordinate downwind runs with fellow paddlers. My friend’s OC 1 fit perfectly on the trailer while my Standup Board lay on the top rack of the trailer. Very nice set up.
