Blue Planet 8-8 All Good Stand Up Paddle SUP Board Test

I wanted to try out the Blue Planet All Good 8′8″x32″x4″ board since I’m really used to riding the Starboard 8′10″ Wide Point. I really love this size. The Blue Planet All Good has almost 20 liters less volume than the Starboard and that makes a difference for riders over 215 lbs. I also kept breaking paddles. A big breakthrough for me came when Brian Keaulana gave me this tip after watching me try to catch a wave: You are starting in first gear, you need to start in first gear. He told me first gear with the paddle is short quick strokes way up in front, just tapping the water. Continue reading ‘SUP Tips: Quick Acceleration Strokes- Starting in First Gear’
