It’s been a while since I posted SUP technique post #4 and it’s time to wrap up the paddle technique series with a few more posts, so here we go:

Recovery: 
The recovery gives you a chance to relax the muscles for a moment and its important not to underestimate the importance of a quick, efficient and relaxed recovery. 

Once again, there are many different ways of recovering the paddle and there is no wrong or right way, so experiment and find out what works best for you, I will try to break it down into easy to understand steps that you can follow and practice.

MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (MCB HAWAII), KANEOHE, HI – March 23, 2012 - Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Semper Fit and Single Marine & Sailor Program (SM&SP) welcomes participants to the 9th Annual Surf & Turf 5K on Saturday, April 14, starting at 6:30 a.m. The Surf & Turf is one of the most scenic race routes offered at MCB Hawaii taking runners from the Officer’s Club, through the Klipper Golf Course, and along North Beach. This race is open to the public.

3rd Annual Punta Sayulita Classic

This was my first trip to Mexico – and what a great event site. It took place in Sayulita, Mexico. I flew with Riggs, Aaron and Tasha Napoleon from Hawaii – and we meet up with Zane and Matty Schweitzer in LA. Then we all flew down to Puerto Vallarta. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport – and got the VIP Treatment from the event organizers.

This partnership would allow the Waterman’s Paddle for Humanity, its sponsors and participants to directly raise money on behalf of the race series for the Navy SEAL Foundation.
