Check out this super glassy, fun day out at Puena Point on the North Shore of Oahu. I was out with my friend Jeff who is on the other stand up board and my friend Kekoa who’s riding a normal surfboard. The board I’m on is the Blair Quad 9’11” x 29” x 4.5”. The pictures were shot by Jamie Ballenger who owns HawaiianWaterShots.com.

Wow! Great shots and a really fun session. Looks like you are able to throw the Blair around pretty well Evan, it lays on rail really nice.

Mahalo…like they say, a picture is sometimes worth a thousand words.

Thanks Gary. I’m glad I can buy higher performance (in a board) when needed.

And btw, you are no longer allowed to call yourself a “novice,” you are no novice that’s for sure. Nice surfing on nice waves.

After reading (and watching) both your posts re the Blair quad I revisited the video you did with Joe at Legoland. Are you on the 9′11″ production model? Joe mentioned he had a production model in the vid. Also, do you know retail price for that board? On the You Tube post of your vid Joe left a telephone number so I may give him a call in SD.

Thanks again Evan, a lot of great info on this board.

Gary – Thanks for your kind words but I’m still a novice. I’m on the 9′11″ model although I think it’s custom. Joe doesn’t have pop outs yet. I think retail on it is $1350 or so but if you call him and mention ‘Evan’s site’ he’ll give you an even better deal. He just got back to SD today. You should ask him about the 8′9″ he just shaped that we rode last week on the North Shore of Oahu. That thing is awesome and I feel very comfortable on it at 220 lbs.
