Press Release May 30, 2008 Surftech announced the re-launch of their website, designed to educate surfers and provide dedicated areas to Surftech’s involvement in a growing range of surf and action sports markets.
The First annual Surftech SUP showdown took place in conjunction with the 24th Annual Santa Cruz Longboard Union Memorial Day Surf Contest at the infamous Steamer Lane. Small conditions did nothing to temper the crowd’s excitement as competitors drew one of 7 Surftech boards on which they competed in their first round heat.

Sunday, April 13, Surftech took part in the 2008 Ford Ironman Arizona event held in Tempe, Arizona showcasing the sport of standup paddling to the triathlete community and leading the 2.4 mile swim segment of the race.
This is the video that Surftech played at ASR. It gives a pretty cool view of different ways that people can stand up paddle. I like the river shot and the dude giving the girl in the bikini a lesson. (click thumbnail to launch video)
