Christian Surfers da Bay2Beacon SUP Race

Share/Bookmark

My friend Harris Chang forwarded this to me via email. The race is for a good cause so I thought I’d pass on the info to you guys.

Hi all! Thank you for your patience as we worked out all of the little difficulties that have arisen as we were planning this event.

Hawaiian Island Surf MInistries is hosting their first SUP race on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from Waimea Bay to Haleiwa Beach Park.

We hope that you can serve alongside us as we raise funds for this year’s Camp Agape for keiki of incarcerated parents and also participate in the race. I have attached an entry form here. Each paid entry will receive a race t-shirt and an entry to win a Stand Up Paddle board.

We will need help on Friday night August 13, 2010 to set up tents at Haleiwa Beach Park. On race day, Saturday, August 14, 2010 we will need to set up tables and chairs at Haleiwa Beach Park and also the registration tent and tables at Waimea Bay. After the race, we will need board handlers to help participants as they get out of the water and run up the chute to the finish line.

We also need your help in getting the word out. Please feel free to forward this email with the entry form attached.

Please let me know if you are able to help and/or want to participate in the race.

Thank you! jewels=)
