SPLASH & DASH BIATHLON, OCTOBER 20

MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (MCB HAWAII), KANEOHE, HI – SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 - Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Semper Fit program presents the second to the last race of 2012, the Splash & Dash Biathlon, on Saturday, October 20 at 7:00 a.m. at the Hangar 103 Helipad, KBay. This Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series race is open to the public.

The Splash & Dash Biathlon starts off with a refreshing 500-meter swim in beautiful Kaneohe Bay and finishes with a scenic 5K that begins and ends at the Hangar 103 pad. Entry costs are $25 per individual entry or $40 for relay teams. Late fees begin on Saturday, October 13, so be sure to register early.

Online registration is available until Tuesday, October 16 at 4:00 p.m. Registration will also be accepted at the K-Bay Semper Fit Center or onsite on race day. Race categories include individual active duty, individual civilian, 2-person relay active duty and 2-person relay civilian.

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each individual age category and to the top three relay teams. Packet pick-up is on Thursday, October 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the K-Bay front gate, and on Friday, October 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the K-Bay Semper Fit Center.
