    That’s a financially wise direction for the Laird boards to go–building boards for the beginner/intermediate and flatwater market. It’s where the greatest growth is likely to be. Not everyone has an ocean in their back yard, but most everyone has some water near.

    I expect we’ll see some performance surf shapes pretty soon. The boards we’ve seen Laird use are pretty huge–14 feet and thereabouts. Of course he’s not paddling into ankle-biter waves, is he.
