Hawaii: Diamond Head, Waikiki, blue Pacific, rolling surf. A lifestyle that flows with the tide has been the lure of the Hawaiian Islands for centuries. The Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle might sound like a ferocious weekend for salt-crusted, paddle wielding surf warriors, but in truth it’s just a brilliant excuse to celebrate the waterman’s way of living. Fitness, free family fun, stand-up paddle Expo, races and relays, kids programs, and the opportunity to forge ties with the Hawaiian SUP community at the beach named after the man himself: Duke Kahanamoku. All the action will be broadcast live all weekend on the internet.

If you are interested in joining the community as an SUP Expo vendor, registration is now open. If you would like to enter one of the many races that cater to your ability level – from total beginner to world class athlete – you can register now.
