A non-profit association has been started to promote distance paddle training. It’s called Stand Up Paddle Association of Hawaii – acronym SUPAH. SUPAH Distance Paddling Clinics Presented by the Stand Up Paddle Association of Hawaii (SUPAH) an independent non profit organization whose mission is to promote SUP distance paddling, SUP etiquette, and SUP community service events.
After finishing 4th at the recently concluded Molokai Paddleboard race, I had a chance to talk to Morgan Hoesterey, the only female paddler for the SUP solo unlimited division. Morgan said that her stint in this race was just to step up to the challenge; she never expected anything from it.
