Opening weekend of the La Torche Pro France sees action

The La Torche Pro France presented by Naish and Twenty-Nine is now officially open, as a weekend of Trials and extreme weather welcomed the World’s best to this beautiful corner of France. With a series of low pressure systems hitting NW France this past week, there was no shortage of waves for the opening day of the event, as the Trials got underway in solid surf as we saw 8 worthy athletes earned their spots in the Main event.

La Torche Pro becomes climactic Final chapter for 2013

The La Torche pro france presented by Naish and XXIX will get underway this weekend as the world’s best gather for what will now be the final stop of the 2013 season and as a result the decider for the World championship crown for both men and women. With athletes’ best 3 results out of the 4 events in 2013 counting towards their overall ranking, the pressure will be on, as it all comes to the wire in La Torche, Brittany.

La Torche Pro brings the world’s best back to France

After an epic stop for the Stand Up World Tour in Huntington Beach California, the Tour will now pick back up again in NW France, for the La Torche Pro France, presented by Naish and XXIX. This beautiful region of France has played host to the Stand Up World Tour for the last 2 years, and will once again open its arms to the World’s best at the tail end of the season, as the Title Race intensifies amongst the men, and a World Champion will be crowned for the Women.

Kai Lenny wins the Overall World Series Title at Huntington Beach

Kai Lenny makes it two out of two wins in Surf City USA

After winning both the Surfing World Tour event and the World Series Sprints of the Huntington Beach Pro Grand Slam, Kai Lenny (Naish) once again turned it on to take second place behind Australia’s Jake Jensen in the long distance, giving him the well deserved overall title for the event.

Kai Lenny puts on a flawless performance in Surf City USA

Kai Lenny (Naish) from Maui put together a flawless event campaign here in Huntington Beach to take the win at stop 3 on the 2013 Stand Up World Tour. Each round Kai put together high scoring heat after high scoring heat, with a climax in Round 4 where he posted a heat score total of 18.57, a near perfect score.

A full day of action here at Day 2 of the Huntington Beach Pro

It was a full day of action here at Day 2 of the Huntington Beach Pro, as the Main event got underway and a new swell turned up to make it a day to remember. Clean head high conditions rolled in for much of the day, as the World’s best took to the water to battle it out here in Surf City USA.

Felipe Hernandez wins the Trials here on Day 1 of the Huntington Beach Pro Grand Slam

Felipe Hernandez (Rogue) put on a dominant performance today in the Trials component of the Huntington Beach Pro Grand Slam presented by Starboard. Leading a strong field of Mexican contenders here in Surf CIty USA, Felipe consistently powered his way through the rounds to make it through to the Final. When it counted, Felipe pieced together a strong heat to take the win in the Trials on Day one of the Huntington Beach Pro.

The Trials reveal a whole new hotbed of talent for the Tour

The Trials component of the Ubatuba Pro, Stop 2 on the 2013 Stand Up World Tour, saw over 40 athletes battle it out for the final 8 places in the main event. With a strong show of talent, both young and old, it came down to the performance of each athlete on the day, as the 40+ athletes became 8 and the Trials were wrapped by the end of Day 1 of the Ubatuba Pro.
