I recently did a demo of the Blue Planet 9’0″ x 29″ “Rockn’ Roller” stand up paddle surfboard. The board is able to float a rider up to 220 lbs but the caveat is that if you’re over 200 lbs your balance needs to be really good, especially if your conditions are choppy.

The new production S.I.C. Bullet 12’6″ stand up paddle race board have been on the market for a few months. This one has a fixed fin setup while the one I got back in 2011 had the steering system (A.S.S.) installed.

I recently had the chance to try out the Starboard 9’0″ x 33″ Hero stand up paddle surfboard and it’s my favorite Starboard SUP board for the south shore so in the past few years. I like this board better than the 9’5″ wide point. I haven’t tried the smaller wide point yet.

Here’s a quick video with Robert Stehlik testing how durable their new Inflatable SUP boards are. I asked him to bounce it like a basketball but he wasn’t that successful doing that. I think you’ll agree that the board passed the durability test.
